Infrastructure & Service Monitoring

Centralized Zabbix monitoring dashboard overview
Centralized operational view: Zabbix dashboard providing a high-level overview of host utilization, availability, and system health.

This implementation demonstrates the Scelaris approach to fundamental operational observability. Rather than relying on isolated status checks, we establish a centralized monitoring environment to ensure the resilience and availability of heterogeneous IT and technical infrastructure.

Technical Process

Task
Provide centralized monitoring for heterogeneous IT and technical infrastructure, converting raw system data into operational visibility.
Input / Monitored Systems
The environment comprises a diverse set of systems, including Windows and Linux servers, network infrastructure, and camera systems (including MOBOTIX devices via SNMP). This approach allows different system classes to be monitored within one common environment.
Heterogeneous monitored hosts and systems
Heterogeneous infrastructure: Monitoring of diverse host types and interfaces within a single Zabbix environment.
Monitoring Logic
Zabbix collects operational information such as availability, CPU and memory utilization, storage behaviour, and network interface status. Templates, items and triggers provide the technical logic appropriate to the individual system classes.
Operational data: detailed item monitoring and time-series resource measurements.
Problems & Alerting
Monitoring concludes with the evaluation of relevant conditions through triggers. Failures, resource constraints and availability issues are presented as operational problems, allowing for targeted intervention.
Zabbix trigger and availability information
Trigger evaluation: Monitoring of the Zabbix server itself to ensure the integrity of the monitoring pipeline.
Result
The result is a centralized operational view across heterogeneous systems. Technical status, availability, and resource behaviour are evaluated from one monitoring environment, supporting resilient operation.
